Is your Homework Sets Editor Empty?
I’ve found it’s easier to email all students their username and initial password, rather than just telling them how to do it in class. You can also use this as an opportunity to link to their online homework. Here’s how you do it.
So, you’ve already added the students from blackboard into your WeBWorK course – but during the first couple weeks of class, there are students who add and drop. How do we deal with these minor changes? It will be much easier to add students manually, rather than going through the process of creating a new spreadsheet, uploading it and importing it like we did originally.
So, you’ve got your password and email address set. Now it’s time to set up the course for your students.
In order to populate your course with the students who are enrolled, and the easiest way is to download your roster from MyInfo. If you use BlackBoard or CUNYFirst, you will not get all the student information that we require. Note: CUNY MyInfo will require your PORTAL login credentials, not your CUNYFirst login. You should have received an email with your login and password for the course that’s been created for you on the WeBWorK site – so the first thing you should do is to login! Follow the above link, find your course and type in your given login name and password.
