- Dream in Color by Tre Seals: The type is a sans serif and very legible. The layout is very simple with the title being in a large sans serif font and the possible purpose of the cover and the creators name being in smaller size.
- EXTRA BOLD a feminist inclusive anti-racist nonbinary field guide for graphic designers by Ellen Lupton, Farah Kafei, Jennifer Tobias, Josh A. Halsted, Kaleena Sales, Leslie Xia, Valentina Vergara: I think it’s pretty obvious that the type is EXTRA BOLD… I mean it’s in the name. The typeface is also a sans serif and also legible. The type is also extruded in a 2D way.
- Centered: People and Ideas Diversifying Design by Kaleena Sales: The type is once again a sans serif but also geometric and somewhat legible. The type is expressive and playful with the different shapes giving the impression of words and letters. Though, even though I might be able to read it, I can see how some people might have some trouble reading it because of the rustic look and odd shapes.
- The Art of Oubey by Stefan Sagmeister: This is a very interesting piece. Compared to the other 3, this design is very complicated and not very legible. The complex design around the type makes the type bend in; It doesn’t help that it’s all the same color as well. I’m not sure what typeface this is since the type is pixelated… is it geometric? Playful? Sans??
You’ve nailed it for 1. 2. and 3. The slipcase shown in image 4 is Sans if anything and definitely intriguing, if not playful. I have yet to find a thorough description of how the slipcase was molded. It’s art designed and design as art.
