Below is an example. You do NOT have to design your nametag exactly the same way! You can run your text the width of the tag (including margins, of course).

In Dropbox in a folder named “EXAMPLES,” I’ve included folders of my InDesign documents for the nametags as an help.

This name tag deploys type crafted in a way other than traditional methods. The “B” is from an alphabet I made during the pandemic, using rare (and recycled for each letter) toilet paper rolls. To make a contrast with a serif of sorts, I used employs Garamond, a very traditional humanist typeface. I’ve used a photo BUT, students, feel free to draw your name tag and take a photo of it before uploading. I set up the name tag in InDesign. The document size is 3 inches wide X 2 inches high (single, not facing) pages.

I’m excited to see what you do with your name tags!
