Jessica Walsh Poster

I chose this poster because in the description it said it is a gold material in the background. The shiny material is out of gamut and therefore would look different printed and in its final form. Piscatello says, “The shimmering gold background color represents her glamorous and bold style, while the abstracted and elongated letterforms communicate her elegance and sophistication.” (and I don’t think I could’ve described it any better.) His use of the long, blocky, bold, and almost decorative font gives the piece a lot of character and visual impact. Under the right bottom corner, there is writing about Jessica Walsh and this is an all-caps condensed sans-serif font. It adds a bit more visual interest in comparison to just having the connected J and W.
