Which of these covers catches your attention? Why? Notice that the typography on some do not follow a horizontal path. Is that successful?

All of the covers are pretty captivating, the first thing i noticed for all the covers is the way that they all share the same color palate, yet all look drastically different. Non of the covers are bland in anyway whatsoever, I believe all the covers are successful because they still attract readers. I know a lot of people say don’t judge a book by its cover, by i do. So if i don’t find myself interested in the cover i may not open the book.

I agree. The color palette with the red and black only is very effective.

The different paths give excitement and variation. “Captivating” is a good description.

I understand your comment about covers. I once didn’t buy a book I really REALLY wanted to read because of the cover.
