Advice for future students

First and foremost, the most important advice I can give to future student is choosing the right topic for your research paper. It is very important to choose a right topic that interest you as it will help to engage you throughout your writing process. After you decide the topic, try to do more research on it and get as much resources as you can to support your paper. Visit the school’s library website for online articles and databases like EBSCO and LexisNexis and make sure to save all the links as you need to have at least 18 references for your research paper.

Also, it is very important to ask question and interact more with professor if you have any confusing regarding your paper. Professor Shapiro is very flexible and is always available to help you in writing a successful paper. I also advice the future students to have a proper time management to write the paper as this course requires a lot of time. Try to put at least 2-3 hours of work per week in the paper if you want to do well in this course.

Last but not the least, always make sure to follow the outline and APA style guide line to write your research paper. Do not wait until the very end to complete your paper, else you will end up stressing yourself. Ask questions, use your time wisely, do proper research and you will be fine. GOOD LUCK..!

Thesis- Preventing workplace injuries in hotel housekeeping

Thesis: Compared to any other service industry employees, hotel workers are 40% more likely to sustain serious, disabling injuries that result in time away from work. Furthermore, the specter of hazards and injuries has caused anxiety and stress which leads to decrease in employee’s work performances. In addition, workplace injuries can be costly for employers and can negatively impact the hotel revenue. So, to prevent the workplace injuries, we are going to work with Wyndham Garden Hotel located in Chinatown, NY and help them to introduce various techniques. This includes; promoting and encouraging the employees to exercise and stretch in regular basis both before and during the shift and also providing all the new hires as well as existing staff a risk avoidance training in a specific way with a language that employees can understand clearly.
