When you hear about New York City, people usually say oh ‘The Big Apple’, ‘Gotham City’, The City That Never Sleeps’ or ‘Concrete Jungle.’ Why Concrete jungle? Because of the high rise/skyscrapers duh(lol). Although nature is always a breath of fresh air, just seeing those skyscrapers is always breath taking. Its even better when it’s view through the lens(camera).
Another goal of mine this year is attempt to take aerial shots. Note I said attempt because I’m afraid of heights but I’ll like to believe that, slowly I’m getting over it.

The second picture with the William James quote is my favorite. Its so different and it plays games with the eye which is so cool to me because I love city-scapes and unusual shots. Where was that taken?
Konyca it is truly amazing how you capture a moment or a glance that would otherwise be lost in time and use it to express you thoughts and feelings in a non-traditional way. In this case, your angles really reflect your perspective and desire to overcome your fear of heights. I am wondering if you view your camera as a kind of extension of yourself? Also when you take photos like these, and look back at them, do you experience the same feelings that you had when you took them? Lastly, are you capturing how you see life or how you want to see life?
Konyca, I love how much you challenge yourself not only as a photographer but as a person, for the sake of a great photograph. Your pictures are wonderful as always and I admire how these defy gravity. I wish you luck in getting over your fear of heights.
Konyca, I am on the same boat as you! Deadly afraid of heights at times and could never capture as much photos as I wish I can. Your photos look amazing and I belive you will definitely get over your fear of heights as I hope I do some day too.
