HW for 9/15

The Covid 19 pandemic was a event that changed my view on education. I was a sophomore in high school when covid happened. The idea of learning in bed sounded amazing to me, being comfortable while doing school work is a dream. A very contagious disease had shook the world and made that idea happen. At first online learning was very easy and manageable as it was fresh to us all and I can imagine it was hard for teachers to make lessons easier for online. I slowly started to get tired of the same schedule everyday. Waking up and logging on to your computer first thing in the morning was annoying. My sleep schedule was starting to get horrible and I just started to miss class cause of it. Fortunately teachers were being understanding in this tough time.

Fast forward and junior year is in full effect and this is known as the most important year in high school. Covid is still raging and infecting everyone. I make myself a promise that I will be doing the best I can even with all the tough challenges going on. As the school year goes on I lose all my motivation for school and even question if it’s even for me. The beginning of June arrives and I think “finally, school is almost over and I don’t have to deal with this anymore”. One day I receive a letter from my school, I open and read that I am behind on credits and looks like if I don’t do summer school I will not graduate. I did not think I had gotten to the point to where I have no risked my chances of graduating on time. Over the next 3 weeks I had deep thought and noticed how important and privileged I am to be able to receive this education. Covid had changed my perspective on how important my education was to not only me but my family.
