Sound Visualizations: Phase 1

As you first listen to this song you would believe it would have a simple beat. However, as the song progresses the beat brings up a up rising.  This being said this song shares the connection of having a Monotony Line and Variety Line. The song temperature begins with a smooth and flowing concept to the song. Because of that interaction in the beginning the line would give a soft/gentle handle. Although with that being the case at hand, the middle of the song brings in  rough strings. These ” rough strings” changed the way the song can be viewed.

I truly spent about 30mins  on this aspect on this project, but it’s because I listen to this song everyday.

Phase 4

Hey Everyone,

I know under each image we’re suppose to speak on the time  of each project took for us but I thought it would be more clear to see the time line in which this project required while giving my thoughts on the project. As I began phase 1 it took about 3 hours for me for the simple fact I took simple pictures. This being said I wanted to give all my readers a efficient story line behind every picture. As I continued to phase 2, that was more of a hour and a half mark, I felt this was confused to be never putting men to paper. Due to that reason I kept redoing and trying to make my work detailed as possible at times. Once phase 3 came to plan I felt more calm because of  the feedback from my classmates so the inking part took about a hour because I felt more comfortable. I feel that I learned a little but experience a lot theirs a lot of work that goes into being a artist. Their is several things I can do better, one major aspect on my next project is surrounding myself with others that’s similar  with art, this being said they can inspire me to do better.

Urban Artifacts Phase 1

ambiguous figure/ground relationship

The Conclusion of my day in Brooklyn came to the end after finding my last finding. I decided to leave my artistic vision on a wall, but not just any wall.. This wall has a different layers/patterns of the concrete on the wall.  As seen before I wouldn’t have a choice not to identify this as ambiguous, these glorious term faces the fact of which several layers of concrete entitled within this picture. However to move beyond that factor, I would like to say that this image is truly organic due to the split curves and different shapes that’s contracted around it.
The back history of this image comes from a angry guilty building developer. During the prime years of making the buildings, Tom was the best and biggest in his firm. However one day he was given the hardest choice on constructing a building. Tom’s boss forced Tom to make a building over the ducks pond and a few animal habitats . However Tom didn’t like the thought of  putting  a energy plant taking the space of thousands of animals. However when finishing the building Tom made a big hole onto the wall, because due to fdr rules if a building isn’t formerly we would have to demolish it.

Urban Artifacts Phase 1

ambiguous figure/ground relationship

Walking the streets of Brooklyn; we as people see new, old, and disgusting things that comes to the eye. I would describe this as a mash of leaves, water, rocks, and sewerage that turned rotten, Based off the analyzes I would determine that this is ambiguous due to the different layers that pile within this picture. In addition due to the varieties of elements it can also be seen as ambiguous; Ambiguous would be the determining factor due to the curves and formation of everything.
As I look at the photo I’m able to back track to story of it, These specific layers arrived after a massive hurricane hit downtown Brooklyn. The wind pulled several natural water, resources, and objects around the area. While watching the news I witnessed the hurricane flip over the sewage covers causing the backed up water to reach the streets. The factors of the leaves came to play because of the harsh blows of winding hitting several trees. Also the rocks emerged from the picture due to the vast blow of guest that hit the pavement  that allowed rock’s to burst  from the stone buildings.

Urban Artifacts Phase 1

ambiguous figure/ground relationship

What individual doesn’t love street are? The inner design has many elements which causes a high interest towards it. As an artist I would definitely classify this as an organic image. The outside figure doesn’t have a role to play in my decision but what’s inside does. However if we’re focusing on the aspect of the inner art, then we can bring in the factor of this image being ambiguous. Ambiguous is the true meaning in this picture due to the fragments of the art in this picture.
The history of this design comes from a underrated street artist. She’s been planting her tag everywhere/anywhere you could label in New York. This tag is to reveal  the true message behind her art. However she spreads love, but no one acknowledged her work because she’s been living in the street. Although I was telling you the history behind it, five years past. After the five years she’s been making a name for herself but still leaves her work around to inspire others.

Urban Artifacts Phase 1

obvious figure/ground relationship

In this picture the stable figure would be the awareness light attached to the bus. I came to this conclusion to the fact that the light has more of a dominant factor within this image. In addition this awareness would identify as a geometric shape for the obvious appearance to one’s eyes .This object has detailed lines  to the figure at hand.
The journey of this item comes from when more modern buses was made within different eras of time. I truly think this came in place for many factors. One would be to let other drivers know that the bus will be turning. The specific location of this item will be found on different  angles on the bus to allow others to know the movements of the bus. Also the second reason would be for awareness. I believe this bus like many others would be in accidents at night. Due to this misfortunate we’ve installed blinking lights to catch the attention of many from a close and far range.
