Now based on what I’ve seen going on in the world today I have chosen to focus on a select few things that have and still do effect today’s world. My list included Social Injustice Issue of Racial Injustice, Overpopulation, The Global Pandemic, Climate Change, Ecological Collapse and Unfair Criminal Justice Systems. With those in mind I decided to choose 3 topics based on their relevance as well as how little these things are discussed whenever they do show in any NEWS outlets. My chosen 3 were Ecological Collapse, Unfair Criminal Justice Systems and the Global Pandemic. My first topic was chosen based on something that is dear to my heart, the future of our ecosystems and marine life. Being that this topic rarely gets any shine I have decided to make that my main focus for the research assignment. I believe this would be an interesting topic to research because there are many things people don’t know about when concerning ecosystems and their relevance to this earth as well as how little they are covered in any news report almost as if they aren’t one of many important topics to discuss.

Krista,
Now the task is to make your research topic into a research question– something that you do NOT know the answer to.
Think about what interests you about marine life as it relates to our ecosystems… what is it that you really want to find out? Here are some sample research questions. You can choose to use or adapt one of these, or make up something else:
How do current fishing practices affect marine life in the short term and our ecosystems in the long term?
Are there some shining examples of countries who have figured out how to treat marine live with respect while also allowing for a thriving fishing industry?
What remains unknown about the deep sea world, and where and how is the most cutting edge research being done?
