students should either get free meals in college or free metrocards because a lot of students don’t have enough income in their families to pay all the expenses because college isn’t free, the tuitions are really high.

Students should get more financial support because many don’t have enough income in their families, especially since college isn’t free and tuition keeps rising. Supports in the form of free metrocards or free meals could help students commute to class and have the energy to think and do what they need to do at school.

More money and emphasis should be invested into trade schools by the government in order to provide flexible opportunities to students of varying degrees of socioeconomic status seeking education.

before this: example of real-world experience, an anecdote or scenario of personal experience from how they went to a 4-year college and have large debt and no job in the major they studied, consequences

after this: evidence that trade schools work, that they have advantages over 2-or 4-year colleges, that they are long-term solutions for things like low retention rates in city college, can enroll a higher percentage of local populations

Not everyone can attend college or afford college. Not everyone can afford to graduate without a guarantee of a job.

My next steps are to research about my thesis or my topic so that I cam back up my statement with evidence.

  4. Christopher Gonzalez

The next steps on my draft are to collect enough evidence to support my thesis, organize my thoughts into proper segmented paragraphs that appropriately support each point of evidence, and summarize my thoughts based on what I believe is the best course of action for the government to take to implement this system.
