Introduction – 

The topic I will be researching for Project 2 is Architecture and environmental sustainability. Why is sustainability important in architecture? One thing  that caught my attention when looking into my topic was that I looked into how building sustainable designs can save resources. I also looked into how environmental sustainability is beneficial to the human lifestyle. Regarding architecture and environmental sustainability, I already knew that you can have healthy living spaces with reducing resources. When doing these  researches, I expect to find plenty of ways to reduce the spaces. While doing my research, I  also expect to get an answer to my question, such as ‘How does architecture play a role with the environment?’.

Whether that means green buildings and or sustainable buildings. As architects take this into consideration, they can then reduce the impact of the built environment that influences the public’s health and nature, relating to chronic disease. The author wants to create a better understanding to the architects that the relationship between both architecture and the environment has to have a sustainable and an environment for humans. This choice of genre does make sense for the intended audience and for what the author wants to accomplish because this specific genre talks about creating buildings that are friendly and effective to the environment that can impact the environment and humans’ health and nature. In the relationship between architecture and environment, the author’s credibility is not credential because although this is a wonderful source to get information from; there’s such things you can not do such as not getting in-depth information from the author.  I believe this author and this blog is not credible because this course was not written by a trustworthy author. The tone is informative because this specific article focuses on the ways climate conditionals and building designs accentuate the need of the surroundings of landscape to create comfortable spaces. The author’s intended audience and purpose is to design buildings, different designs to adapt to the surroundings of natural conditions regarding climate change, local resources etc. This source is useful for wanting to know how the environment can influence architecture. Another reason this source is useful is because this specific source provides awareness of how architects design buildings to adapt to the specific climate, the different natural features, and local conditions of a region. The choice of the genre  does make sense for the intended audience and for what the author wants to accomplish because it overall impacts the story along with the audience. The author’s intended audience and purpose of this source speaks about the negative impacts that is associated with building thes homes, apartments etc. Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Habitat Destructions and Pollution are all different impacts associated with the use of construction materials. This also affects the access to the natural resources, these impacts can affect both the oceans and the fresh water sources. This source is useful because this source addresses the issues that we are facing on the planet whether it is pollution, climate change or even habitat loss. The author’s credentials are not credible because there is not an author that is attached to this specific course. This author and this source is credible because this source was easy to find. Another reason this course is credible is because we can gain knowledge of the information. The tone of this TED talk highlights the potential for positive change through both design choices and innovative technologies. The author’s intended audience in this TED talk is a global audience of people that learn about new information and ideas. This specific source is useful because it gives people better information such as accessibility along with visual aids, eye opening and last but not least this source is useful because it is a platform for thinkers. The genre in this video, How architecture can fight climate change, is sustainable architecture or green architecture. The author’s credentials in this Ted talk is credible because we can trust this source since the author is trustworthy. Another reason this specific course is credible is because it helps speakers to earn the trust of the audience to then hear the message with a more open mind.This source is credential because others and myself can trust these people as they give us life lesson videos as well as information.  As the author connects with the intended audience, the author uses techniques such as explanatory language along with visual aids. 

In Conclusion, as we talk about architecture and environmental sustainability we’ve understood that it plays an important role in today’s society.  In regards to who needs to benefit from this information are Individuals along with the economy, communities and businesses.
