As you decide on your topic and shape it into a research question, begin drafting the introduction to your Reflective Annotated Bibliography (Project 2). Here are the component parts we’re looking to include in the introductions:
- Introduce your research topic and question.
- Explain how or why you got interested in your question.
- Explain what you already know as a foundation for your research.
- Explain what you expect to find in your research (a hypothesis).
- Write this in paragraph format (1-3 paragraphs, approximately 300 words)
At the end of class today, leave a comment with what you’ve drafted so far.

As the world continues to evolve and our populations are in an endless growth, we start to question how we can ensure a future for ourselves. How can we build an environment that tackles the impacts of natural disasters in hopes of saving thousands if not millions of lives. Thus, this paper will be surrounded by the guiding question āHow can architecture be more sustainable to combat natural disasters and to ensure a future for humanity?ā This topic really resonated with me because as I pursue a career in architecture, I canāt just sit and watch thousands of homes get destroyed by these events. With hurricane Milton resulting in a massive flood in Florida and leaving these people essentially homeless, as a future architect, it is my responsibility to tackle this issue.
Iām a college student at city tech and lately Iāve came with questions wondering if city tech would be the same place I come out of for architecture or at another college? I say this because as a student coming from high school not much has change other than the attuites of professors. Engaging is my biggest weak point, but I believe is something ill be working on as the semester goes on. I want to see a change in the education standards and want anyone to be able to pick up to anything else if something isnāt working out in their first option. This is because I feel like once people move on, they fall off from college rather than trying something new. Iām not saying to chase your students but, students shouldnāt be discouraged after their mistakes or dreams they once had. This is where I believe college job should be to advertise the word and make them feel more like a community.
