We use geometry in our everyday life frequently without even realizing it, similarly the knowledge of geometry played a significant role in the development and enhancement of modern astronomy.

“Determining the distance to a star is difficult because we cannot actually travel to the star and measure the distance directly. Instead, astronomers must be very clever and measure the distance indirectly. One of the ways they do this is by the method of Parallax which requires the application of geometry.”

“Kepler’s three laws describe how planetary bodies orbit the Sun. They describe how (1) planets move in elliptical orbits with the Sun as a focus, (2) a planet covers the same area of space in the same amount of time no matter where it is in its orbit, and (3) a planet’s orbital period is proportional to the size of its orbit (its semi-major axis).”

In conclusion, we can come to the point that, the utilization of geometry can help us to solve some complex problems such as measuring the distance between objects in space or analyzing planetary motions. therefore we need more development and application of modern geometry in real-life in order to analyze a concept and solve problems.
