OpenLab assignment: Test #2 solutions

Individual assignment due Monday, December 12

Choose one question from Test #2 that you did not earn full credit for. Write a complete solution and share your work on the OpenLab (if you are not able to share a photo of your hand-written work, upload the photo to another platform like Dropbox or Google docs and share the link in your OpenLab post).

If you choose a true/false question or a “give an example of…” question, write complete sentences to explain your thinking.

Test #2 review – practice test and solutions

Group post due Friday, November 17

Individual post due Monday, November 20

This review assignment is similar to the one you completed with your group for Test #1.

You should re-read the detailed instructions at the above link, but here is a reminder of the broad details:

  1. As a group, come up with your own practice test (questions only).
    • You can look at the workbook, textbook, and WeBWorK (as well as Test #1) for inspiration for your questions.
    • The secretary will post the group’s practice test with the post title: Group n Practice Test #2 (where n is your group number), category: Week 12 group post.
  2. After the groups have posted their test questions, each individual student will give themselves a practice test.
    • Set a timer and give yourself the practice test as though it were the real test. You may use your calculator to check your work, but all calculations must be done by hand (use fractions instead of decimals).
    • Post your full solutions on the OpenLab; title Test #2 Review – Group n (where n is the group whose test you took), category: Test #2 Review.

If you or your group’s secretary have trouble posting photos of hand-written work in an OpenLab post (this happens from time to time due to file size limits), you can put them in a Dropbox folder or Google doc and just share the link in your OpenLab post.
