This week in our chapter meeting we discussed on how we could get more petition signed for federal and state leaders to fund MTA to create reliable, affordable and safer transit system. Our campaign leader had informed us that we had gotten more than 500 petition signed and we are targeting to get above 1000 before we submit the petitions which is two weeks from now. I met up with project coordinator at city tech on Thursday to talk to students about the petition. At first I was nervous but my project coordinator gave me tips and technique to talk to people on the street. Then I got confident after few tries. we were able to get more than 40 signatures in couple of hours. It was a good experience for me. I was able to share the petition to my friends as well and they were also very helpful.
