This week is when we had our campaign kickoff. Our project coordinator started by giving us a presentation about student activism history specially during the civil rights movement. it was interesting that during all those school years we weren’t aware of this and never taught about this. After the presentation all the interns talked about the campaign they have picked and what they will be focusing and working on during this fall. In my campaign meeting, we talked about how the individual campaign kick off went. We also talked about the funding petition which is a big goal for our campaign. We have already more than 100 petition in a week and we discussed possible idea to get more students to sign petition. Our campaign coordinator also talked about the MTA Congestion Pricing public meeting that was happening this week and she will be testifying there.
