(My mom tells the family that we’re on vacation this summer to Aruba)

Me- Ouuuu, Aruba sounds fun! I’ve never been

Brother- Aruba? Really? I don’t want to go, I have to work this summer

Father- Why do we have to go to Aruba?

Sister- OMG Aruba! When are we going?

Me- Mommy said in the summer

(Mom just stands there and watches our reactions. To my brother she says, you’re going. To my dad, she says you’re going as well. This is our first family vacation after Covid and you both are going)

Brother- I don’t want to go, I’m going to work this summer

Mom- The family is going and you are included. You cannot stay at home by yourself

(My dad tells my brother he’s going. He agrees with my mom)

Father- But why Aruba?

Mom- Because it’s very nice and exotic. And I would like for us to go

Me- Then it’s settled, we are going. Let’s go pack!
