This weekend we had such nice weather so I decided to venture out of the house, for what felt to be the first time in forever. I decided to take a walk to exercise a bit from just sitting in the house all week. While walking aimlessly I eventually ended up near the park. I saw so many families out and about taking in one of the first days of nice weather moving into the spring season. 

The sun was shining and there was a cool wind that blew through the air every so often. It was a picture perfect spring day. It was nice to see people being able to emerge from the cold dark months into a brand new light. Most people who were out had on masks which was a good sign to see. Everyone should stay safe even in an outdoor setting. 

It’s been about a year since the events of the pandemic started to unfold and everything shut down. Even though so many people have been through such adversity it was nice to see the smiles on people’s faces. It is so important to find the positive moments in life because they make the dark times just a bit better. 

I saw all different types of people while walking. Children with families, teenagers, couples, single people, people with dogs, and many more. There was a melting pot in the park as I passed by. On my way back home it seemed like there were even more people outside then before. Many wanted to come out to experience the sunset as an end to such a beautiful weathered day. It was a good start to the upcoming spring in front of us. We have closed the door on winter and have started the new chapter of spring.
