What I enjoyed about Jone’s writing piece is how he took us through a childhood memory with a little girl and her mom. I liked how he wrote his story to portray what a relationship with a mom and daughter may look like when it’s her first day of school. My question for the author is “what made you want to write a short story about a mother and a daughter?”. My second question is, “who or what mostly inspired your short stories?”. I don’t have any suggestions for the author, I think this short story was a good piece and gave me an outlook of how someone’s else’s first day of school looked.

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
