The novel has a slight interesting plot about the character’s hardships that he endured with his half brother and the water dancer referring to slavery. But there were a bunch of details I questioned as I was reading through the chapter. The author does not use a simple story telling style, and includes lots of long words that are rarely used in literature which kinda delays interest as you continue through the paragraphs. Another concern is that the Author doesn’t specify nor give a hinting clue on the time period of the story which might be one common question in the reader’s head as the follow along. Another point is that each paragraph seemed to have a different topic of the story which might make the reader assume there was a jump in the timeline of the story. I can easily say that this story is probably my least favorite among the works I read this semester.
