If I had to write a letter to a future student that wants to take a creative writing class my advice would be to register early. I remember trying to register for this class 2 semesters ago and they were filled up pretty quickly but thankfully, I was able to get in this semster. My second piece of advice would be to be mentally prepared to do a lot of writing (which is in the name of the course, creative writing) because it is a fun class but you need to be able to balance work and school. Third is, do not take any critique or advice to heart because everybody has a different perspective and listening to those different perspectives will really help you grow as a writer. Listening and receiving those critiques helped me understand what I could do better to make my stories more interesting or engaging from a readers point of view.
