My experience with writing poetry was pretty good. I liked how we weren’t forced to write poems in a particular way. I liked this the most because I didn’t need to make everything rhyme throughout the poem. Since we weren’t forced to do that we were allowed to write the poem however we wanted. One thing I had a hard time with was trying to find out what to write about because I wasn’t sure how what I should even talk about. But I eventually had an easier time coming up with ideas when we talked about poem topics in class. The day we talked about the topics in the class I figured out what I wanted to write about. Overall I had a good time writing the poems and wouldn’t mind writing more if they are in this style.
