My experience with short stories was honestly really enjoyable. Being able to make certain situations in my life seem a lot more dramatic really brought the thoughts in my head to life. With my short story I wrote about being left at the altar, and honestly that’s what it felt like when the break up happened. Being able to express those emotions while maintaining some kind of drama kept things interesting. When I posted and received comments on my story or just had everyone in the class read it, it was a nice feeling hearing everyone enjoy it. They would ask questions and seem just as interested in it as I was when I first came up with the idea. It made my writing better, they would give me tips and tricks for making sure I wouldn’t make certain mistakes again. If I could I wouldn’t mind writing short stories over and over again.
