My experience with short story writing was good. I enjoyed how with writing short stories we were really able to express ourselves creatively which made very interesting stories to read. It was a bit tricky for me at first when it came to the different perspectives only because it was so hard for me not to write with first person techniques. First person writing to me is the easiest and effortless because your writing basically with that inside voice in your head or so that’s how I envision it. However, writing from an outer point of view also felt easier in a sense where you didn’t have to go too in detail with personal thoughts as you would with first person perspective. Overall, short story writing was great and I feel like the assignment we did where we read everyones stories helped me learn more ways to improve my own writing.
