One of the major things that changed in my life for the better is transferring colleges after my first semester. There are various reasons that came into play to make this happen.

Firstly, the first college that I attended NYIT was a private college which means that it is more expensive to attend. Due to this, I was forced to take out loans in order to continue the semester, that and I had to pay out of pocket which forced my father to pay for me. This would’ve not lasted in the long run as it wasn’t really worth it for the education that I was getting.

Secondly, it was realistically too far to keep traveling back and forth along with public transportation being unlucky at times wouldn’t of helped my college issues. An hour and a half to two hours of train riding back and forth would’ve been hard to deal with as well.

Lastly, attending City Tech allowed for me to get my financial aid checks in order to help pay off my loan. In addition, I was able to purchase various items that my family and I needed in order to make life better for us.
