Birds Nest

There were a group of birds living in a big tree with a bunch of other species of birds in various trees in the surrounding areas. The mother and father birds encourage the younger birds to fly out on their own to explore new places by flying and coming back safely. This is to learn about how to venture off on their own in order to have the ability to survive on their own and grow their families of their own for their futures. However one issue came with that statement. The younger birds were actually in fact adult sized birds who still lived with their parents. Having a slower pace of growth compared to other birds in trees. They’re learning so much more at a younger age than the adult birds who stayed in their parents nest still. When asked about why they don’t want to venture out on their own to be independent, they stated that they had everything they needed in the surrounding area. Food, water, shelter, entertainment and a home. Years prior they would be lounging around the nest, not learning how to fly, but to climb and glide to nearby places so they can get easy access to resources. Constantly putting off learning to fly and separating from the birds nest was always occurring. They didn’t want to put in the effort of becoming a full adult bird becoming independent. Were they not ready, did they not want to leave? Was there an issue in themselves that prevented them from flying? All of those things were pondered by the adult birds. However the simple answer was right in front of them. They were extremely slow learners and it hindered their social and mental growth for a considerable amount of time. The adult birds may not be ready to separate from their parent birds just yet, however it may happen one of these days. Sooner or later each of them will leave the nest one by one on a random day. The only question is will the parent birds be ready for that day to come? Will they miss their children? One thing that would be promised is that even when they’re on their own, they’ll always come by to visit and see how their parents are doing.
