Chapter 1 of Patchett’s book was enjoyable and was an interesting read. It started out a little strange of how she thought about Lucy, basically glorifying someone that barely paid her any mind and was in fact a little rude. I’m definitely curious as to what made Lucy become so comfortable, what led them to such an opening relationship? The conversation they had sharing their sexual experiences was a good idea, to many women, this may how most of their friendships begin, gisting about men and/or their sex life. I wonder how life is going for Lucy after the letter and what will she decide to do. Will she hold off on any relationships to come to conclusion about what she wants? Or will the relationships continue to mask what she wants but believes she won’t get to cope with her feelings?
