when I was kid I would always watch my sister draw. She is really good at it. There was a time when I asked her if she could teach me how to draw simple things like a face and body. It wasn’t realistic type drawing, it was more cartoon like. Over the years i started to practice drawing but on loose-leaf paper. One day I was on the bus heading home from school and a old lady saw me drawing and she suggested to me that I get a sketchbook because when I draw on loose leaf that the line is just going through the images that i draw. So when I got home I told my mom that I wanted a sketchbook. A few days later my mom got me a sketch. With that sketchbook I felt like I could escape the real world when things get upsetting and just draw. The stuff that I would is Japanese style cartoon drawings which called anime. I taught myself how to draw realistic and anime style drawing. Before I got my sketchbook I would always go into my moms room to take paper from the printer, so I could have something to draw on. I would just place the pictures that I drew in my school folder. But after I got a while my mom bought me a binder for school like the one that you can zip up and use paper protector to protect my pictures. Some of them weren’t able to fit in the protector so I would put them in the back of the binder. And I would literally carry  ever-increasing i started drawing in sketchbooks, i would carry one when ever I go outside, to school, to see family,  to hangout with friends. I did this because I feel like drawing what I see i would take it out and start to draw. I am not going to lie but I did this in class too and it was funny to me because the professor never noticed and I was sitting in front of the class. One of the drawing that I did that was my favorite was a my hero academia character Deku drawing. It was the picture when Deku was learning from All Might’s teacher and he Kick off the wall and you first seen the green static emanating from his body. That one took me so much time because of the line work. I was able to meet the voice actor of All Might which is Christopher Sabat and we took a picture together with the picture of Deku that I drew. I would say the hardest thing for me to draw is multiple people on the same page. I just feel like I still need work on that. My favorite thing to draw anime characters. I would say my favorite anime is One Piece. I would say that i like action type anime’s. I have been drawing since i was in kindergarten and the first picture that i drew that caught my teachers attention was the Martin Luther King Jr. image. I have been drawing in sketchbooks for a while now, but as I got to my last semester as a Junior at Citytech I upgraded to an Ipad to start drawing digitally. I wasn’t taught how to use any drawing platform i mostly taught myself and here and there i would go to YouTube to get some tips on some drawing styles. Some programs that I use are Sketchbook pro, Clip Studio Paint, Adobe Animator,Photoshop, illustrator and Microsoft paint. Currently use Sketchbook pro and Clip paint studio. And its a lot easier to carry a tablet than another book in my bag. At this point in time I think I have about 12 sketchbooks. I want to peruse a animator career. I want to be able to make my own anime one day.
