Why are we still looping about in our place?

I’m curious about how the world and humanity will develop in the year 2022. For example, the phone has been around since 1876 and we are still using them. I’d like to see new technological advancements. Also, we have all seen and heard about the war that is currently taking place in Russia and Ukraine. In my opinion, this symbolizes us going backwards and not forward, so that issue needs to be addressed. Nuclear weapons are also a concern for me because they are bad for us and the world.
