Gun violence is a tragedy that unfortunately happens every day. In July 2021 a study has shown the NYPD made 383 gun arrests for the month of July and a continuation of the 44.5% increase in gun arrests through the first seven months of 2021. In January 2022 the NYPD citywide shooting incidents increased by 31.6% (100 v. 76) in January 2022 compared with the same period last year.

What effect does gun violence have on eyewitnesses? (many people talk about the victim but the eyewitnesses aren’t acknowledged at all because they weren’t physically hurt)

Should gun violence be limited to only police officers rather than citizens?

What state laws, if any, work best to reduce gun violence?

I understoox the topic and i dont see too large of a bias and a good question is gun violence is dealt with in other countries.
