Wollstonecraft is writing this letter because she wants everyone to know but she mainly wants the Bishop of Autun to know the issues women had to deal with in France. One issue she identified was that women weren’t getting the same rights as men when it involved their education. Women not being able to have the same educational rights as men is very unfair because no matter the gender everyone should be able to learn the same material at the same pace, and with Wollstonecraft being a woman herself this bothered her a lot. I would identify Wollstonecraft’s discourse community as being an advocate for women’s rights.

Young is writing/presenting this speech because she doesn’t like how many people think others with disabilities can’t do the things “normal” people can do. One issue she identified was people with disabilities don’t get the same respect normal people do just because they look different or take longer to accomplish things. This is an issue because nobody should be judged because of how different they look from another person. No matter how you look or how you do things at a shorter pace, everyone is different in their own unique way. I would describe Young’s discourse community mainly for adults/teenagers with disabilities.
