Wollencraft believes that women do not have the same rights as men. She compares her country to the country of France because knowledge is much more easily obtainable for women than any where else in Europe. Wollencraft believes that education and knowledge should be easily obtained for all sexes. Her recipient is definitely not in her group, but is part of her audience since she is pleading with him to make a change to laws that will allow women to get an education.

Young’s ted talk highlighted several issues with being disabled. One of them is receiving recognition for doing normal things, but the fact that she was disabled, she got recognition she didn’t feel like she deserved. She felt that this really made her feel different and also amplified her disability, because that is what everyone saw instead of her. The recipient is not in her discourse community, but is her target audience. Her community is probably a community of disabled people that are tired of feeling out of place, and just want to be treated as regular people. That being said the recipient is her target audience, because we are unaware of there true feelings.
