An audience that wouldn’t normally attend a Greek play is important to the creators because it’s interesting getting out of your comfort zone and trying something new. Maybe they are also curious if their work was an accurate depiction of Greek life. I believe they included people from the police force to demonstrate authority and point of view. Watching Antigone in Ferguson has changed my view of the original play because it was accurately portrayed and intricate.
