The topic I would want to research for Unit 2 is abortion. I wanted to find out what the laws are for abortion in New York. I wanted to know the reason as to why women are not allowed to have choice over their own body. After researching i have found that in New York, abortion is allowed up until 24 weeks in the pregnancy. After the 24 weeks it would be hard to receive one since it would only be able to be done if the mother is at risk or the baby is at risk. I would want to keep reading articles about what NYC is doing to reduce the amount of abortions needed. Abortions can be a very hard procedure for women and I would want to see maybe more education on this in schools/ college. It is important to talk about abortion and how it could be prevented.
