A definition for the term “civil disobedience,” and explain whether or not you think Antigone is engaged in an act of civil disobedience.

Civil disobedience means to refuse to obey a law peacefully and with no violence. This is also sometimes called passive resistance. I believe Antigone did engage in civil disobedience because she chose not to follow what Creon’s law of not giving Polynices a proper burial. This is considered civil disobedience because Antigone wasn’t violent but was pushing her opinion and giving resistance.
