Paragraph 1: Wollstonecraft

After reading Wollstonecraft’s letter, some of the issues she highlights in this letter is the fight for equal rights in gender, saying that women lack the required education that men do have and how women aren’t any different from men so they should be counted as equal. The Discourse community Wollstonecraft is trying to reach is women that are fighting for equal rights, it can also be said that she is trying to reach both men and women in this case, but more favored towards women.

Paragraph 2: Young

After watching Young’s speech, it can be said that the issues she is presenting are that disabled individuals are regular people, no one should be classed as special people. The point she is trying to make is that even though she is disabled she doesn’t want people to look at her as an inspiration, but as a normal person saying that we are all equal and shouldn’t be looked at any different. The discourse community she is in would be talking to the disabled community primarily.
