Wollstonecraft:

I think Wollstonecraft’s DC is supporting and advocating for women’s rights. The issue she is sharing is women and men should have the same rights. She explains how women aren’t less than men and therefore should not be treated as if they were. Her intended audience is the former bishop of Autun with the letter. However, in the letter she addresses both men and women so that can also be another audience. One strategy is making a persuasive letter addressing the issues as a whole and how it contributes to giving women their rights.

Young:

Young’s DC is the community of people with disabilities. In her Ted talk she expresses her experiences with people’s views on disabled people and her personal experiences such as being expected to inspire others at a school event with a speech. She feels as if people with disabilities are objectified for the benefit of people without disabilities because they tend to feel better in a way about themselves knowing that they aren’t in the same position as the others or as if they should worry less because they aren’t in the same position as them. I’m not sure if she is an entirely apart of this dc because she explains how she wants to sort of break that concept people have of disabled people. So in a way you can say her dc is not a disabled person but just a normal being living her life.
