The creators of Antigone in Ferguson wanted to attract people who would not ordinarily attend a production of a Greek play because most people nowadays (including myself) would not be interested in said play. Therefore, they had to find ways to attract a broader audience.

The creators also included members of the police force in order to be more inclusive and represent both sides of the spectrum.

Watching Antigone in Ferguson did not change my view of the original play. I already had a clear understanding of the issues presented in Antigone.
