I believe the summary of Plato is how the ā€œprisonersā€ who are the people of society in a ā€œcaveā€ explain the amount of knowledge people have. There are those that are stuck there or being held by a chain which would be their own ignorance to understand a different piece of information. These people are the prisoners in the cave. There are those that still are not aware of the reality thatā€™s in front of us. There is also the analogy of when the prisoners escaping the cave which would be them opening their eyes to new information.Ā
