I believe the summary of Plato is how the āprisonersā who are the people of society in a ācaveā explain the amount of knowledge people have. There are those that are stuck there or being held by a chain which would be their own ignorance to understand a different piece of information. These people are the prisoners in the cave. There are those that still are not aware of the reality thatās in front of us. There is also the analogy of when the prisoners escaping the cave which would be them opening their eyes to new information.Ā
