I think that a potential audience for my research would be news broadcasters and school students. The reason is because I would want students to be cautious about the information that is most popular, and that is looked at. I would also like to inform the news about how their information spreads in people’s minds, in order to make the news a more informative and neutral source. I think that most people can hold the assumption that moral panic is something that has happened in the past, or it is a word that people throw around carelessly without purpose. I think that people also don’t know much about when and how the word is used, and only have a vague understanding of what it means.

I think that some of the concerns that people would have is the amount of information and how it is really spread. Moral panic, is something that can easily happen through misinformation and or lack of information about a topic. I also think that some concerns could be about the panic portion of the term “Moral Panic”. People could become more panicked and terrified based on an assumption that’s not even true. Over a long period, that panic can shape and change the status quo and society, so I would be informing people on how to lessen or prevent Moral Panic.
