Once the narrative was assigned I wasn’t really sure of what and how to write it, so I kinda pushed it to the side and waited till the second to last week of the due date. The Malcolm X reading also reminded me of when I recently moved to the US, I used to read books and dictionaries in order to know words and that’s kinda what pushed me to really write a thousand words without even noticing. Writing about yourself is kinda hard sometimes because you have to really think back to those specific moments that helped you get to where you are at the moment. I feel like this is what took me the longest to put together, but I made it work. Moving to the US not really knowing what to expect kinda makes anybody like me interesting especially when you’re bilingual.
