The Summary of the text Plato is, that 2 people are imagining that they are in a cave just living their life since childhood. They look normal but their necks and legs are fettered and only able to see the front of them because their bonds prevent them from turning their head. How hard it is to live in a cave with no sunlight or anything except for fire no life, no animals, no building nothing. They are living in a cave and trying to survive. And they see shadows with chains which represent prisoners and to me it could mean that they are getting held back by society and that it isn’t letting them advance in life. And they are explaining that their way of living and learning is important to them.
