In Allegory of the Cave by Plato Allegory is about how people would be treated poorly without knowing while others who are “awake” knows that they can fight for their freedom. The location is Plato Republic. The people there are Socrates and several other friends. Old modern lifestyle. What helped was that the king would use his power against the people and philosophers would tell people that the king and queen aren’t that powerful and that their god is powerful. So, 3rd estate and nobles would overthrow their king.
