The essay displayed various forms of techniques that can be very useful to a reader. A certain phrase specifically caught my attention towards the end of the essay. On page 81 it states, “One thing that I like to do is to highlight and underline the passage in the text itself, and then try to answer the following three questions on my notepad…”. This technique caught my attention because I do part of this technique, which is highlight and the underline the text. However, the second part of the technique suggests adding a couple of questions to further understand what you highlighted. So this technique would improve on something I’ve already been doing.
