Overall, this unit is completely new but at the same time very familiar as this is a research paper formatted differently. The topic I chose was taxation and economic freedom in my opinion it is a topic that most tend to share strong feelings on hence I chose to do a podcast or a tedtalk which borderlines formal tones and engaging with the audience informally. Furthermore the topic is one that anyone of the working class or economists can speak on broadening the horizon of how this genre of podcast can be implemented. The inspiration that came to me was from Joe Rogan although he may be a controversial figure however, credit must be due as to how incorporates surreal topics to an unyielding seriousness from him and his guests; surprisingly his guests are expert on the fields that Rogan decides to cover.

Class Meetings & Times: Mondays & Wednesdays, 2-3:40 PM, in Namm 519
Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12 – 1 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance via email. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
