You can either view reading as seeing straight forward or in all directions sort of speak . That is what “Why Learn to Read Like A Writer” by Mike Bunn teaches the reader. In the text it explains how you can read a piece of literature and absorb the information the piece is laying out or you can absorb the way the piece is laying out the information. You can question the way the writer chooses his way of words, form of media and much more. One piece of advice he shared that stuck with me was “What is the technique the author is using here?”. This stuck with me because it seems useful in determining if the writer is using something I would want to use in my own writing.
