My topic for this unit’s research is human trafficking. My the information I gathered mostly focuses on who human trafficking affects and what group of people human traffickers target. I believe the audience that I would cater to would be teenagers and preteens. I think many teenagers know the extreme forms of human trafficking but not the forms that could be seen in everyday life like labor. Their assumptions could be that they think they already know enough about the topic to learn more about it. A concern my audience would have is if they have to know about human trafficking and who it targets. I feel like preteens would not have too much knowledge about human trafficking. One concern I think preteens would have is how serious the issue is and how dangerous a situation like human trafficking can be. Although it is a very scary theme it is important to inform and equip preteens with the knowledge to use for their protection.

Class Meetings & Times: Mondays & Wednesdays, 2-3:40 PM, in Namm 519
Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12 – 1 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance via email. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
