Discussion of “How to read like a writer”

Perhaps I should change the name and call this Reading Like an
Architect, or Reading Like a Carpenter. In a way those names make
perfect sense. You are reading to see how something was constructed
so that you can construct something similar yourself.

So this quote from the book of “How to read like a writer” appeals to me because reading book is like being a architect and I as the future architect that I want to major in if feel when you read a book is like looking at a building because when look at a building you trying to find the idea that inspired the architect to built such a work of art and also how the building was made and also the structure of the building as well and that is why I chose this phrase because a writer and a architect are similar in some ways and what the author of this book is saying in some way is that from now on when we read a book when have to think in the perspective of the author and how the author had inspired himself to write this book.
