During the process of writing my educational narrative it made me think back to all the things I’ve gone through in order to be where I’m at today. There was a lot going on but with the use of “Shitty First Drafts” I realized my story was going to be all over the place anyways. Every good writer has to get messy in order to get to where they want to be in writing. At first I didn’t know where to begin in my narrative until I began to brainstorm key points. Another thing that helped a lot was peer-review because maybe someone else noticed an error you didn’t catch the first time around. This unit project was very straight-forward and I enjoyed the process from beginning to end. From now on when it comes to papers I will remind myself to go back to “Shitty First Drafts” and trust the process.

Course Description:Â A course in effective essay writing and basic research techniques including use of the library. Demanding readings assigned for classroom discussion and as a basis for essay writing.
